"Bob Hopper"

We were getting the firepit lit for the first time this year and look what hopped out--a frog. The kids named him Bob Hopper and he is now living in a plastic box on my kitchen counter. The kids catch lots of bugs for him every day and today he was even treated to a whole live grasshopper! We will probably let him go after a few days but for now he is making a cute little temporary pet.

"Cartwheels in the Rain"

With it being such a wet June, the kids haven't been outside as much as they would like. On this day however we decided that we didn't care if we got soaked. We went in the front yard and rode scooters and did cartwheels (or at least the kids did, since we all know my history with scooters). I was able to snap a few pictures before the lightning and thunder started and the rain came pouring down. We had a lot of fun.

"Bye-bye Tonsils"

Logan had his tonsils removed on June 3. He also had tubes put in his ears. He was very good and handled it pretty well over all. He brought his tonsils home and has been showing them to everyone. Gross!

"Abigail's Haircut"

Abigail has been growing her hair out for over a year and decided it was time to cut it. She donated it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths to help make wigs for women who have breast cancer. This is the second time she has donated and we are very proud of her. I always tell her that someone out there is very lucky to get a wig made with one of her pretty blonde pony-tails and that we are very lucky to have such a sweet little girl that would be willing to donate her hair.

"Making Bread"

My mother in-law Sally and I went to en emergency preparedness event at her Stake and we learned how to make bread. I got really excited about it and decided I wanted to start making all of our bread, rolls, etc. Our first attempt, as you can see by Logan's face, turned out a little dark. He hates the crust as it is and he was really turned off by this loaf. I tripled our second batch which was a big mistake since the gigantic ball of dough that formed was too large for my mixer to handle. The bread turned out kind of lumpy but it still tasted pretty good. I've now figured out that I can make two loaves at a time and it works really well. I think we have it down to a science now. My grandma would be proud!

My sweet little boy! Logan is a little ball of fun! He loves to crack jokes and make us all laugh. He loves slapstick comedy and falls on the floor laughing when we watch America's Funniest Vidoes. He also has a tender heart and he knows when Mom needs a special hug.

"Best Friends"

Abigail and Emma are not only sisters but they are best friends as well. They share everything from Barbies and dolls to jewelry and lip gloss (much to Abigail's frustration). Most nights Emma even hops into Abigail's bed and I find them snoozing with their arms wrapped around each other. I think they realize that no matter what, they always have each other.

Abigail, Logan, and Emma doing one of their most favorite things in the whole world--decorating Easter eggs. Of course more eggs get dyed than can ever get eaten. I think Logan had more fun cracking them than anything.

Here's Emma decorating a cake with Ryan. She really loves the sprinkles!
